The colour white of the conch shell represents purity of the Dharma.

The Conch Shell represents the beautiful, deep, melodious, interpenetrating and pervasive sound of

the Buddhadharma which awakens disciples from the deep slumber of ignorance

and urges them to accomplish their own welfare and the welfare of others.

The conch is seen as a vehicle fearlessly proclaiming the truth of dharma in all directions.
